GAME RESULTS
Weekend of October 6 - 8
The Guelph Bears Tykes Team had a tough start the weekend game with the Twin City Talons. The Talons ran the first play of the game back for a touchdown. But the Bears woke up quickly and responded with two touchdowns in the first half to keep the game close going into half time. The Bears were able to complete a pass in the second half and recover a fumble which made the game very exciting in the second half.
Weekend of September 29 - 30
The Guelph Bears Tykes team looked sharp during the game against Brantford Bisons. The bears offense was able to score on the Bisons with great blocking from the offensive line. The defense played great only allowing two touchdowns during the game and capitalizing on turnovers by the Bisons.
Weekend of September 22 - 23
The Tyke Bears took to the field on Sunday afternoon to take on Brantford. Brantford came out hard with an onsiThe Guelph de kick the first play of the game and recovered the ball. The Bisons then went on to score a touchdown on the first series. The Tykes did not let this get them down and they responded with a touchdown by running back Kurt Schwark who put an incredible stutter step move on the defense to allow him to go around the end and score a touchdown. Other highlights of the game included a QB sack and an interception by the Bears.
Weekend of September 15-16
The Guelph Bears Tyke White Team played the Cambridge Wolverines on the weekend. The Tyke Team went into battle against Cambridge with a number of players missing due to sickness and other ailments. The Cambridge Wolverines came out hitting hard during the first half and racked up 30 points on the board before the Guelph Bears White Tyke Team responded by chaulking up a number of first downs during a long hard drive. The second half saw the Guelph White Tyke team give up less than half the points to the Wolverines as the defense starting playing hard. |
